Bahia Marina regulation is a group of rules on how to proceed about anchoring, safety, maintenance, boat handling at the docking area, also about environment and historical preservation, for boat owners, crew members, visitors and employees.

Questions:

 

  1. What is the work period of the company management sector?From 9am to 6pm, but it can be changed upon prior notice given to users.

     

  2. What are the options of spots Bahia Marina provides?Wet (floating piers), dry (dry-docking areas) and mixed (floating piers including weekly use of boat lift for hull cleaning). The mixed spots have no predefined place and numbered at the floating píer. The mixed and dry spot contracts are valid  for six months and may be renewed or not.

     

  3. Can I have more than one boat on my parking spot?No. The cliente must occupy the defined spot with only one boat.

     

  4. How can I perform my boat maintenance? What place should I do that?You can use the service pier or the docking area for your boat maintenance, by paying the daily fee.

     

  5.  I just arrived in Salvador. Can I anchor my boat at Bahia Marina?
    Yes, since your boat is legally working according to all marine bodies and port authorities. The boat must be in a good state of repair, safety and floating and it needs to be compatible with the mooring berth. The daily fee payment is calculated based on the boat feet lengh and on the number of days you intend to stay at Marina. The payment has to be previously made.

     


     

  6. Can I use my anchor for the anchoring?No. Neither anchor, iron, or any other similar object. Bahia Marina is responsible for the anchoring, in turn, the user is responsible for the maintenance of the cables and buoys.

     

  7. I came  back and found my spot occupied. Can I anchor anywhere?No. You must communicate the administration about what happened so they can tow the boat from your spot.

     

  8. Can I give my spot to a friend?Yes. Since you previously communicate the administration, in writing, and since it is the wet spot, the new user can easily bring its boa tinto Marina (the new user has to follow all Bahia Marina regulations).

     

  9.  Can I lift and drop my boat whenever I want?

    No. Services such as lifting, dropping and boat pulling will be provided after prior notice given to administration office, according to technical availability and viability. Such services can just be provided by Bahia Marina or a third-party company.
