People have been, more and more, acquiring the taste for street fairs – a style of event increasingly valued by those looking for outdoor activities. Thinking of that, Bahia Marina brings back its own version of a street fair, for the second year, to welcome the arrival of spring. In the outdoor area of the project, the Orquidário Bahia and Dedo Verde bring their collections of flowers and plants to join the artists, food vendors, local handicraft art, craft beer, in an intense programming for all ages. Admission is free and the event takes place on September 15th (Saturday) from 9am to 7pm.
This year the event also brings a fashion show, launching the spring / summer collections of brands Thereza Priore, Mangaba Beachwear, Leila Daltro Accessories and special participation of jeweller Carlos Rodeiro with his Búzios collection.
The children will also gain an exclusive space, with activities scheduled from 9:30 am. Kids can participate in free vegetable garden workshops, play with Bolha de Sabão Gigante ( “bolha de sabão gigante”), learn sustainable arts and crafts and join a musical initiation for children class for kids from 0 to 6 years old.
“It is important to create this concept of celebration and appreciation of culture, even at the institutional level. We want people to feel welcome and to live pleasant experiences here at Bahia Marina, that is why we chose the date, curated the programming and selected the brands presented with extreme care, “explains Leilane Loureiro, director of Bahia Marina.
Origami artist Sayuri Miura is responsible for the artistic decoration of the environment, using the secular art of origami. “The technique of paper folding will give life to birds and flowers, in a creative and interactive décor. It will be in full spring style, ” says Sayuri Miura.
