In celebration of the World Environment Day, which took place on June 5, Bahia Marina is running an advertising campaign composed of billboards and social media pieces with the call for awareness for the preservation of marine life, expressed in the sentence: “To throw garbage in the sea is to throw the sea in the garbage”.
The campaign, set up by advertising agency Engenhonovo, informs the public that 2 million tons of garbage are dumped into the ocean. Alarming data suggest that if nothing is done, by 2050 there may be more trash than fish in the oceans.
Campaigning on World Environment Day is a tradition of Bahia Marina. Since 2009 we have been promoting awareness campaigns on this date, which stand out for their originality and creativity. Some of the pieces broadcast in billboards included the participation of artists in creating pieces with panels and different formats.
