Exhibition of art and flowers at Bahia Marina to celebrate Spring

 

Art, flowers and the sea of ​​the Baía de Todos os Santos as an inviting background for the “Spring in the Marina”, an event that, in its first edition, brings together flower displays, art gallery, cultural presentations, origami and flower cultivation workshops and food stands. All this in a unique setting, facing the ocean. Held by Bahia Marina, the festival takes place on September 29th and 30th, from 11am to 8pm, and admission is free.

 

To celebrate the new season, orchids, bonsai, field flowers, desert roses and succulents will be displayed and marketed. Displays of terrariums, origami workshops and food stands are also part of the program.

Art and flowers

 

Three artists with the same concept and different techniques will exhibit their works inspired by the flowers and the nautical theme. Elano Passos, Sayuri Miura and Alexandre Feliciano share a gallery to present works in ink, origami and canvas, respectively. Fifty pieces are part of the show “Spring in the Baía de Todos os Santos “.

 

According to Leilane Loureiro, director of Bahia Marina, the exhibition embraces the arrival of Spring with great inspiration. “We will celebrate the arrival of the new season in a very beautiful and fun way: with art, flowers and the beautiful sea scenery of the Baía de Todos os Santos.”

 

About the artists

 

Elano Passos – Ink – is a designer and since childhood he has distinguished himself by the traces of his drawings. As a kid, he used to read comic books and began using illustrations from Disney, Maurício de Souza and MAD Magazine as references, as well as being a fan of characters by cartoonist Angeli, such as Bob Cuspe, Wood & Stock, Rê Bordosa.

 

Sayuri Miura – Origami – Origami artist for over five years, she began her first folds as a pastime. Today, professionally, she unites the technique of origami with collages, cutouts and mix of colors and prints, turning paper into Art!

 

Alexandre Feliciano – Pop art – He graduated in Visual Arts at the UFBA School of Fine Arts and, in a continuous search for new knowledge, took courses with Waldo Robatto and Juarez Dias. His works present his identity through the composition of techniques of screen-printing and ink on canvas.

 

The event is supported by restaurants Das and Lafayette, Casual Móveis (furniture and décor), Grand Cru wine imports, Segilight Iluminação (lighting) and IFestas.

 

Confirmed exhibitors: Flowers – Blooming Flores, Bonsai Txai, Círculo Baiano de Orquidofilia (Orchidofilia Circle of Bahia), Nudik.

Food Stands – Coxa Coxinha, Açaí Power, Kombita, Picolé Frutos de Goiás, My Sweet Brownie, Doce Maria Ateliê e Acarajé da Aidil.
